..::Matam Press ~ A Work in Progress::..

Monkey Bread by Matomah Alesha is a book which extends the ideas
and concepts found in Sako Ma: A Look at the Sacred Monkey Totem. I
had so much fun with the Sako Ma book and found so much priceless
information I thought a second one was in order. This one is not like the
first. It deals with another hidden aspect of monkey totemic folklore,
which is food and consumption. If you love Sako Ma I think you will find
this one also intriguing.

My deadline for this title was January the 1st 2006. But its a recipe
book and I never did a recipe book before. There is more involved. For
instance I need to design fresh recipes, cook each recipe, take
photographs of each dish and then put them in the book. The book
design also is not my regular 6X9 format. Its a recipe format at 9X7. Its
a great project. I love it and feel really challenged. There is a possibility
that this book also will be specially illustrated with images. I am
presently looking for an illustrator as well as props for meal displays.
